How we use your contributions:

• $20 assist a patient in registering for free or discounted medications with a pharmaceutical company.
• $50 buys a box of diabetic strips for a patient to test their blood sugar levels.
• $53 provides an emergency visit to our dental clinic.

A Story from our agency:

"Joe" is a young man who made some bad decisions early in life. He struggles to stay employed, and usually has a few part time jobs to help pay his bills. Unfortunately he does not qualify for health insurance at any of his jobs. Joe has serveral health issues that require medical treatment and monitoring. He is too old to be covered by his parents' health insurance, and his mother worries about his health. She heard about People's Health Center and helped her son become a patient with one of our doctors on staff. Joe qualifies for a discount since he is low-income and can also receive discounted medications. With a medical treatment plan in place, Joe is doing much better. He doesn't miss as much work for being sick, and his outlook on life has improved.
